The script for the film was based on the title short story from the collection "Mama dies Saturday" (published by Afera, Main Award in the 1st Competition of the Tygodnik Powszechny Foundation and the Book Institute - Debut Promoters, 2015). According to the critically acclaimed Rafał's prose - the Radio Dwójka recorded a radio play.
